Last minute shopping
Not really, I got pretty much all my shopping done a while ago. This was shopping for me and one of my presents. As I may have mentioned earlier, I'll be getting a cat and flying back with me. To be prepared I needed to by a litterbox and some litter to be ready for him. I picked a pretty good time to go, around 1 on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, I mistakenly bought a wrong item and needed to return it today, just a mess. Anyway here are some parting shots of Suki.

Watching westcoast basketball on the eastcoast = up very late
Hells yeah. SUNS WIN!! Man this is the way basketball should be played. Kind of reminds me why I used to enjoy this game. It slowed down a bit in the second half but overall a great game. Man I'm starting to believe that they can just turn it on when they want. Down by 16 after one quarter to bring it back to a 2 point deficit at half. Hard fought all second half and even a 7 point trail with two and a half minutes to go only to go on a quick 10-1 run to take a 2 point lead. Lickety split the Sonics lead was gone just like that. Suns held on and allowed a few late threes but they drained the free throws to stay ahead and remain the best team in the league. I'm exhausted but not tired. I'm out.

Now winter is gone
As quick as it arrived it left. It's warmed back up into the upper 60s and will be in the 70s this weekend. And I also found out that Phoenix has warmed up too and should be in the same range all next week. Whatever happened to the cold weather? It just seems to get warmer each year. Damn global warming. Well at least it can get nippy when the sun goes down and there are more hours of that than daylight.

Winter is finally here
And I welcome it with open arms. The only question how long will it last? Recently a cold front moved and has dropped daily temperatures to the mid 40s to the mid 50s. Not really that cold is it? Well to all these pussy Floridians it is. Now being from Arizona this is exactly the cold I'm used to. After four years in Tucson I really began to like the crisp evenings plus it gave me a chance to dip into my cold weather wardrobe. I've gotten some great shirts and sweaters these past couple years and now I finally have the chance to wear them. Unfortunately this kind of attire doesn't seem to be to common in Orlando. They mostly just wear jackets and sweatshirts. So I can't wait to go home and wear this great stuff for a little while.

Back to the real world
Now that finals are done I can finally start living again. Wow my last post received some 22 comments. None of them really mean anything since they were mostly left by just one person but I'm guessing that person had plenty of fun with it.

I'm pretty excited because today I start work for a new professor. Past assignments didn't quite work but this should be good. I'll be dealing with polarization in remote sensing and nano and bio scattering. Sounds like good stuff. My stress level should drop significantly as well. Without classes I won't have homework so much and I take off to head back home to Arizona on Monday so there's not too much work I could probably be forced to do this week. I'm excited to get back home cause I really miss the mountains. Too much flatness here. This is the longest I've ever been away from home and while I really miss my family and friends, I really miss the city, especially Tucson. That's right I really love Tucson so I'll definitely be making my way down there. I'll be in AZ from the Dec. 20 till Jan 8 so please make plans to see me if I can't get a hold of you.

I had a bit of fun this weekend. My friend Mike was in town from all of his residency interviews and decided to hang out. Unfortunately I was a little weather at the beginning because of the whole end of semester immune system let down. We did get to play a couple of games of Settlers, and my new game Zertz with Troy, Pete, and Laura. I took him to the CREOL holiday party for some free food and booze. We did the obligatory trip to the beach complete with dinner at Dixie Crossroads. And then yesterday we went to Universal Studios: Islands of Adventures. A pretty cool park but kind of on the small side. Not really very many attractions, but Spiderman definitely stands out and the Dueling Dragons coaster is one of the best I've ever ridden.

That should be all for now. Still have a bit of shopping to do plans to make to see my old friends.

I've been bad
So I haven't been posting and updating. I've got finals next week and stress is compounding. Studying hasn't been going well so I've been bad in that area as well. And even though it hasn't been shown, I have continued to see movies but haven't posted any reviews. Hopefully this can change in the near future or at least when finals are done.
