Back to the real world
Now that finals are done I can finally start living again. Wow my last post received some 22 comments. None of them really mean anything since they were mostly left by just one person but I'm guessing that person had plenty of fun with it.
I'm pretty excited because today I start work for a new professor. Past assignments didn't quite work but this should be good. I'll be dealing with polarization in remote sensing and nano and bio scattering. Sounds like good stuff. My stress level should drop significantly as well. Without classes I won't have homework so much and I take off to head back home to
Arizona on Monday so there's not too much work I could probably be forced to do this week. I'm excited to get back home cause I really miss the
mountains. Too much flatness here. This is the longest I've ever been away from home and while I really miss my family and friends, I really miss the city, especially Tucson. That's right I really love Tucson so I'll definitely be making my way down there. I'll be in AZ from the Dec. 20 till Jan 8 so please make plans to see me if I can't get a hold of you.
I had a bit of fun this weekend. My friend Mike was in town from all of his residency interviews and decided to hang out. Unfortunately I was a little weather at the beginning because of the whole end of semester immune system let down. We did get to play a couple of games of Settlers, and my new game
Zertz with Troy, Pete, and Laura. I took him to the
CREOL holiday party for some free food and booze. We did the obligatory trip to the beach complete with dinner at
Dixie Crossroads. And then yesterday we went to
Universal Studios: Islands of Adventures. A pretty cool park but kind of on the small side. Not really very many attractions, but Spiderman definitely stands out and the Dueling Dragons coaster is one of the best I've ever ridden.
That should be all for now. Still have a bit of shopping to do plans to make to see my old friends.
